Two campuses, two sets of faculty, two syllabi, two commutes, and a 14-hour day. In the second — the integrated model — one institution delivers both, with one faculty team teaching the board syllabus and JEE content as a single unified course.
I have watched both models for 14 years. The non-integrated arrangement fails for a predictable reason: the school physics teacher and the coaching physics teacher contradict each other, the student is tested on two different standards in the same week, and nobody owns the outcome. When the JEE score is disappointing, the college blames the coaching institute and the coaching institute blames the college.
So the first question to ask any institution on your shortlist is not “do you provide IIT JEE coaching?” — everyone says yes. The question is: who teaches the Intermediate physics class, and is it the same person who teaches the JEE physics class?
Intermediate colleges with IIT JEE coaching in Hyderabad: the 2026 shortlist
These are the institutions Hyderabad parents most commonly shortlist for MPC with integrated IIT JEE preparation. I run one of them, so read my note on Nine Education with that in mind — everything I say about it is verifiable on a campus visit.

Every one of these institutions has produced good results for some students. That is not the useful question. The useful question is which model fits your child — and that comes down to the table below.

Two honest notes on this table. First, I have deliberately not published competitor fee figures or batch numbers as fact — those change yearly and by campus, and you should get them in writing from the branch you are actually considering. Second, the national coaching brands have a genuine advantage I will not pretend away: their all-India test series ranks your child against tens of thousands of students, which makes the percentile statistically meaningful in a way no single-city institute can match.
The five checks that actually predict a JEE outcome
1. Same faculty for board and JEE, or different?
Ask to meet the person who will teach your child’s Intermediate physics. Then ask whether that same person teaches the JEE physics. If the answer involves two names, you are looking at a bolted-on programme, not an integrated one.
2. What is the batch cap, in writing?
“Small batches” is a brochure phrase. A number is a commitment. Nine Education caps every classroom at 40 students as a written admissions policy across all 15 campuses. Ask any institution for the number and ask to see the current attendance register for the batch your child would join.
3. How many minutes of faculty doubt time per week?
Every institution promises doubt clearing. Convert it into a number: how many minutes per week does one student actually get face to face with a subject faculty member? In a 100-seat section, the honest answer is usually a five-minute slot behind a queue.
4. Does the timetable protect board marks?
A student who cracks JEE but scores poorly in Intermediate loses EAMCET and BITSAT options and, in some cases, IIT eligibility itself. 5. How far is the campus from your home?
A 90-minute one-way commute costs roughly 1,500 study hours over two years. Ask the faculty member at the board to solve a JEE Advanced problem in front of you. Ask to see the last test paper the batch took and the batch average. Ask how many students from that specific branch — not the all-India number, the branch — cleared JEE Advanced last year. The institution that answers at branch level is the institution with nothing to hide.
