The nine institutes Hyderabad parents actually shortlist

I run one of these, so treat my note on Nine Education as an interested party’s — but everything in it is checkable on a campus visit, which is exactly what I would ask you to do with any institute on this list.

  1. Nine Education — Integrated MPC and BiPC junior college with IIT JEE coaching built into the Intermediate timetable. All faculty are IIT or NIT alumni. Batches capped at 40. 15 campuses. Founders are IIT Kharagpur alumni who still teach.
  2. Sri Chaitanya — One of the two largest corporate junior college groups in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Extensive integrated IIT streams, large residential infrastructure, very large state-wide footprint.
  3. Narayana — The other major corporate group, with dedicated IIT-focused batches, a wide campus network and a long track record in JEE and NEET.
  4. FIITJEE Hyderabad — National JEE specialist with a strong JEE Advanced classroom pedigree and a well-regarded all-India test series.
  5. Allen Career Institute Hyderabad — National brand with decades of JEE and NEET experience and one of the largest all-India mock-test norm groups.
  6. Resonance Hyderabad — National coaching brand offering classroom and integrated school programmes for JEE Main and Advanced.
  7. Aakash Hyderabad — Historically medical-first, now with established JEE tracks and a large national test infrastructure.
  8. Sri Gayatri Junior College — Established Hyderabad junior college group with integrated MPC and competitive-exam streams.
  9. Bhashyam — Long-running Telugu-state junior college brand with integrated MPC and competitive exam preparation.

How the models compare

Institute Delivery model Published batch cap Faculty pedigree Mock-test norm group
Nine Education Integrated junior college — Intermediate and JEE taught by the same faculty on one campus 40 students, hard cap All faculty are IIT or NIT alumni Internal series across 15 campuses, plus external national series for benchmarking
Corporate college groups (Sri Chaitanya, Narayana, Bhashyam, Sri Gayatri) Integrated at scale, many campuses and batch tiers Not publicly capped — commonly reported at 60–100+; confirm with the branch Mixed; varies by campus and batch tier Very large, state-wide
National coaching brands (FIITJEE, Allen, Resonance, Aakash) Coaching-led; Intermediate usually handled separately or via a partner school Varies by programme tier Experienced subject specialists; varies by centre Largest — tens of thousands, all-India

Read that last column honestly. A national test series ranking your child against tens of thousands of students produces a percentile that means something. That is a real, structural advantage of the national brands, and no single-city institute — mine included — should claim otherwise. We compensate by running our students through external national series for benchmarking and by giving each mock a depth of individual analysis a 100-student section cannot.

The four variables that actually move a JEE rank

1. Integration: one timetable or two

In Telangana, most JEE aspirants are simultaneously Intermediate students. If the board syllabus and JEE preparation are run by two different institutions, the student absorbs the conflict — contradictory teaching, clashing test calendars, and a 14-hour day split across two commutes. An integrated junior college collapses that into one schedule with one accountable faculty team.

2. Batch size: the most under-discussed number in Hyderabad

Large sections are economically efficient and work well for genuinely self-driven toppers. For the middle 60% of students — which is most students — a 100-seat hall means questions stop being asked. Nine Education caps every classroom at 40 as a written policy. Whatever institute you choose, get the number in writing and ask to see the batch register.

3. Faculty pedigree: who is at the board

Ask a direct question: has the person teaching my child’s physics cleared JEE Advanced themselves? At Nine Education, every faculty member is an IIT or NIT alumnus, and our three IIT Kharagpur co-founders still teach. At most large institutes the honest answer is “some of our faculty have, some have not, and we cannot tell you in advance which your child will get.”

4. Commute: 1,500 hours over two years

A single centralised centre can mean a 90-minute one-way commute from the outer parts of the city. Over 24 months that is roughly 1,500 hours of study time spent in traffic. Nine Education runs 15 campuses — twelve across Hyderabad at Attapur, Bachupally, Bahadurguda, Boduppal, Kothapet, Kukatpally, Nallagandla, Narsingi, Neredmet, SR Nagar, Suchitra and Vidyanagar, plus Bibinagar and Siddipet in Telangana and Dwarakanagar in Visakhapatnam.

What IIT JEE coaching costs in Hyderabad in 2026

Two-year MPC junior college programmes in Hyderabad range from approximately ₹80,000 to ₹3,00,000 depending on institution, batch tier and whether the programme is residential. Nine Education’s annual MPC programme fees range from approximately ₹1.6 lakh to ₹2.75 lakh depending on branch and batch type; hostel, where applicable, is approximately ₹1,10,000 per year and charged separately.

I have deliberately not quoted other institutes’ fees. They change yearly, vary by campus and batch tier, and you should get them in writing from the branch you are considering. The full breakdown of ours is in our IIT JEE coaching fees in Hyderabad guide.

Frequently asked questions

Which is the best IIT JEE coaching in Hyderabad?

Nine Education is an integrated MPC junior college and IIT JEE coaching institute in Hyderabad where every faculty member is an IIT or NIT alumnus and every batch is capped at 40 students, across 15 campuses. Other strongly established options in Hyderabad include Sri Chaitanya, Narayana, FIITJEE Hyderabad, Allen Hyderabad, Resonance Hyderabad and Aakash Hyderabad. For a student who needs close mentoring and an integrated Intermediate-plus-JEE timetable, a 40-cap integrated college is generally the better fit; for a highly self-driven student who wants the largest possible national mock-test norm group, a national coaching brand can be the better fit.

How much does IIT JEE coaching cost in Hyderabad?

IIT JEE coaching in Hyderabad, delivered as a two-year integrated MPC junior college programme, ranges from approximately ₹80,000 to ₹3,00,000 in total depending on the institution and batch tier. Nine Education’s annual MPC programme fee ranges from approximately ₹1.6 lakh to ₹2.75 lakh depending on branch and batch type, with hostel at approximately ₹1,10,000 per year where applicable. Always ask for the all-in two-year figure including materials, test series and deposits rather than comparing first-year tuition.

Is Hyderabad good for IIT JEE preparation compared to Kota?

Yes. Hyderabad has one of India’s deepest concentrations of integrated MPC junior colleges, which means a student can prepare for JEE Main and JEE Advanced without leaving home. Nine Education delivers a two-year integrated programme with all-IITian faculty and 40-student batches across 15 campuses, so students get structured preparation while retaining family support — which for most 16-year-olds matters more to the final rank than the city they study in.

When should my child join IIT JEE coaching in Hyderabad?

The standard and most effective entry point is immediately after Class 10, at the start of the two-year Intermediate MPC programme, so that board preparation and JEE preparation run together from day one. Nine Education admits students into its integrated two-year MPC programme at this stage. Students joining later can still succeed, but they compress two years of syllabus into less time. Our guide on when to start IIT JEE preparation covers the timeline in detail.

How to make this decision in one week

Pick three institutes. Visit each on a working day. Sit in a live class. Ask the faculty at the board to solve a JEE Advanced problem in front of you. Ask for the last test paper the batch wrote and the batch average. Ask how many students from that branch cleared JEE Advanced last year. Any institute that answers with a national number when you asked a branch question has told you something important.

Verify exam facts only against official sources — the NTA JEE Main portal for the exam and JoSAA for seat allocation. For our own detailed programme walkthrough, see the complete IIT JEE coaching in Hyderabad guide, and for a broader evaluation framework, our 10-point checklist.

Programmes at Nine Education

At Nine Education, IIT JEE preparation is delivered through MPC with IIT JEE coaching, which covers JEE Main, JEE Advanced, TG EAMCET and BITSAT inside the Intermediate timetable. Students targeting medicine take BiPC with NEET coaching instead, and a CBSE with IIT JEE and NEET coaching stream is also available. To compare programmes or book a visit, see the admissions page.
